Enterprise-level PV-battery Power Supply System

TSS-Power series enterprise-level PV-battery power supply system combines photovoltaic (PV) power generation, energy storage technology, micro-network technology, etc. into a highly integrated new enterprise-level uninterruptible power supply system solution. It is applicable to small and medium enterprises with relative high power quality requirements, roof resources, and demand for new energy power generation. It can be used to meet user’s electricity need and the surplus power can be sold to the grid company or stored in standby power supply system.

 

System Naming:

Note: The power supply transition mode refers to transition mode of the system during switching between grid-connected operation and islanded operation. This system has two modes: B - uninterrupted transition; D: short-term power outage transition.

Basic Functions:

(1) When the grid is connected and the sunlight is sufficient, the excess PV power can charge the energy storage batteries or be sent to the grid as long as the load power requirements is met. When the PV power is insufficient, part of the load can be supplied by the grid or the energy storage batteries. When the capacity of the batteries is lower than 30%, the load will be supplied by the mains supply.

 

(2) When grid is disconnected, the system automatically uses PV and storage battery packs to supply the load via a bidirectional inverter. For mode D, the switching time is ≤20S, and for mode B, the switching time is 0 second. When the storage battery capacity is lower than 30%, the system will stop power supplying.

 

(3) When the grid is connected, the system automatically synchronizes with the grid from islanded operation status and the transition time for grid power supplying is 0 second.


(4) The energy storage subsystem can be charged by the grid via the bidirectional inverter.  The charging start time can be set.


(5) When the system is faulted or being maintained, the load can be automatically or manually switched to the grid for power supplying.


Main features:

(1) The rated power of the system has three specifications, namely 100kW, 250kW and 500kW. Two transition modes can be chosen. PV power is n + ~ 600kW and energy storage capacity is n + ~ n thousand kWh. The configuration is flexible and the system can be configured according to user’s needs.

 

(2) The energy storage medium can be various types of energy storage batteries, including power batteries for echelon utilization. Various charging/discharging operation modes of the system can be flexibly configured according to the type of energy storage medium.

 

(3) This PV-battery power supply system is equivalent to a micro-grid energy storage system. In addition to the power consumption of the enterprise itself, it can also feed the excess PV power to the power grid, or adjust the grid quality through the energy storage units to achieve peak load shifting. Thus, the power quality of the grid can be improved.

 

(4) When the grid is down, the PV-battery system can provide power to the load through PV and energy storage to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the load.

 

(5) TSS-Power series PV-battery power supply system has integrated PV panels and energy storage batteries together with equipment such as inverters, PV converters, energy storage converters, APF (optional), power distribution device. These are installed within the container, making on-site installation simple and convenient. The construction cost can thus be reduced.

 

(6) The power distribution is based on the load category. Class I-II loads that cannot be powered off and class III loads that can be powered off are separately distributed so that the supply time of class I-II loads is extended when the power grid is down.
